Don't miss this funky joint! We happened here after a more famous place was too crowded. But I want to say that Mayfel's fully deserves to be your destination of choice. Great atmosphere! Great service! I had a pan sear trout that was really delicious. Some kind of roasted corn relish and grits that had been slice and lightly fried rounded out the dish. The vinegar slaw could have been a bit more vinegar-y. My daughter loved her pesto grilled cheese. We all had a bite and she was very right about that.

Such a darling and cozy spot. Menu had a New Orleans flare to it. Waitress was super friendly and offered suggestions for the meal. Enjoyed my visit and will definitely be back. Had the crab cake sandwich, fries, and a hard cider. Cherry tart, not too sweet.

Mayfel's was recommended to us by a bartender at one of the breweries and it did not disappoint. The chicken biscuit with home fries was outstanding and service was wonderful as well. Great brunch spot downtown!

Charming atmosphere but there is much room for improvement. The waitresses need to look neater and they need to listen more closely when a customer requests that their food be prepared differently than how it is described on the menu. For instance, my husband asked that the cheese be left off his hamburger but it still came with the cheese. I ate it and I thought it was delicious! I also ate his lettuce, which he didn't like because it had some type of oil on it. Funny, I ended up liking his food better than mine!

Great food! We ordered Seafood etouffee and it was the best i have ever tried! Waitress was little rude at first, and i almost left bad review cause of that, but to the end of our visit she got little nicer. Customer should feel welcomed in restaurant and treated very nicely and sweet.
